What is esomeprazole magnesiumHow esomeprazole magnesium (Nexium Control) works
Esomeprazole belongs to a class of medications called proton-pump inhibitors. This medication works by reducing stomach acid production, which is used to treat acid reflux and heartburn. Esomeprazole works by inhibiting an enzyme called a proton pump, which produces acid fooled.
This works by stimulating the release of protonatories (INA-afpressive-suppressive). This also produces an abnormal heart beat. Heartburn, which occurs 3 or 4 days after taking this drug, occurs in the absence of symptoms. If you experience any of these symptoms while taking this medication, stop taking Esomeprazole and contact your doctor. Check with your doctor if you are not sure.

Dosage
• Esomeprazole Magnesium (20mg) tablets can be taken orally, preferably once daily, preferably on an empty stomach, or with a meal. Typical daily dosage may be 1 tablet taken with a meal and 1 tablet taken with a meal. Most patients start with a 20mg dose and increase to 40mg three times daily. Continued use is recommended for another 5 days to sustain continuous treatment. The recommended duration is 2-3 days after symptom resolution for symptoms and 2-3 days after symptom resolution for other symptom associated with GORD.

Nexium Control 24HR 20mg 14 Tablets is used in the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Nexium Control contains esomeprazole 20mg, used to treat acid reflux disease and other gastric conditions. Take Nexium Control for as long as it is in the pack. Do not take longer than 10 days in a row. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. If you are taking Nexium Control for acid reflux, you must consult your doctor to do so. They may decide on a dose or form to use based on your individual condition. The recommended dose is ¹ 25mg-100mg per day, taken for short-term relief of acid reflux symptoms. However, you must be careful about combining this medicine with other medications to avoid side effects. Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have any underlying medical conditions, have any medication allergies, or take any other medicines. Nexium Control is not indicated in children under 12 years of age. Nexium Control is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age. Patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the other ingredients of this medicine may be prescribed this medication only after your doctor weighs your medical history.
